Terms of Service

The ground rules for using WEB-AUDIT — most importantly, only scan what you're allowed to.

Last updated: [DATE]

This is a starting-point template that reflects how the product currently works. Replace the [COMPANY] / [JURISDICTION] placeholders and have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer before you rely on it.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service govern your use of the WEB-AUDIT website-auditing service provided by [COMPANY] (“we”, “us”). By using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Authorized use only

You may only scan websites you own or are explicitly authorized to test. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have permission to run an audit against any target. You must not use the service to probe, attack, or gain unauthorized access to systems you do not control. We may refuse or terminate service for suspected misuse.

3. Subscriptions and billing

The Pro plan costs $4.99 / month and renews automatically at that price each period until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your card details.

You can cancel at any time from your account — choose Manage subscription to open the Stripe billing portal. No phone call or email is required. Deleting your account also cancels the subscription. Cancellation stops future charges; what happens to the period already paid for is set out in our Refund Policy.

A free tier remains available without payment. We may change the price of a plan, in which case the new price applies from your next renewal after we tell you.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Overload, disrupt, or attempt to circumvent limits on the service.
  • Use the service to violate any law or third party’s rights.
  • Resell or misrepresent the service as your own without authorization.

5. The service is provided "as is"

WEB-AUDIT performs automated checks and reports what it observes. Results are informational and may include false positives or miss issues. They are not a guarantee of security, compliance, or fitness for any purpose, and are not a substitute for a professional security assessment. You act on the results at your own discretion.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, [COMPANY] is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service, including any action taken based on a report.

7. Intellectual property

The service, its engine, and its interface are owned by [COMPANY]. Reports we generate about your own site are yours to use.

8. Changes and termination

We may modify or discontinue the service, or update these terms, at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION].
